Saturday’s Elberta Sausage Festival Supports The Volunteer Fire Department

The grills are on, the food is prepped, and the Elberta German Sausage Festival is underway today!
Food, music, frozen drinks and blood drive are all part of this year’s fundraiser for the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department. It’s a way for the community to help the volunteers who protect the city, responding to both medical emergencies and fires.
The proceeds are used for improvements to the fire station.
The festival, which runs rain or shine, gets underway at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 29, and ends at 5 p.m. in the town park at 13052 Main St.
The Elberta VFD Battalion Chief William Van Brimmer said to get there early because lines can be pretty long at times, especially around lunch hour.
Admission is free.
