Police Investigating Fatal Wreck in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala.

The Mobile Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision at Schillinger Road South and Yorkhaven Road on Wednesday just before 6:30 p.m.

Mobile Fire-Rescue and EMS responded and treated four persons and transported them to area hospitals with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries however, an 89-year-old woman passed away from her injuries. She has been identified as Sara Sargent.

The Mobile Police Traffic Homicide Unit was called in to investigate the injury wreck further and it remains an active investigation.
