Rollover Wreck on I-10 in Daphne Injures Driver

A single-vehicle accident on Interstate 10 in Daphne Saturday injured the driver and caused traffic to crawl by the wreck on both the east and westbound sides.
Police reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle near mile marker
36 and wound up in the median.
Daphne police and fire departments along with EMS were dispatched to the area and found one person lying on the eastbound side of I-10 and a vehicle mangled nearby.
A medical helicopter was not able to fly due to a low ceiling and some heavy rain that had begun moving into the area at the time of the wreck.
The driver was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital according to the fire department.
At this time, the accident is under investigation.
