Pedestrian Struck and Killed By Hit & Run Driver

The Semmes Police have reported that a motor vehicle accident on Schillinger Road at Wards Lane has left one person dead.
Police Chief Todd Freind says officers responded to the accident at around 11:30 Friday night for a report of a wreck involving a pedestrian that was struck.
According to police, the vehicle involved then fled the area.
Information gathered during the investigation has led detectives to believe that the vehicle involved was a Ford Explorer that now has a missing driver-side mirror, and damage to the driver-side headlight.
Police are withholding the name of the victim until his family can be notified.
