Mobile Police Officer, Wife Charged in Property Thefts

A recent police academy graduate has been arrested for theft.

On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the Mobile Police Department was made aware of an allegation involving one of their police officers.

Police said that the officer, Patrick Deas was accused of theft of packages from residents living

at 320 Stanton Road (Village at Midtown Apartments).

The allegation stated that the officer and his wife were in possession of opened packages that were shipped and addressed to another individual at their apartment complex. 

An investigation began immediately, and Deas was terminated from the Mobile Police Department and shortly after, arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
He has been charged with fourth-degree theft of property.

His wife, Nadia McMillian, also has a warrant for her arrest in the same matter.

Officer Deas graduated from Mobile Police Academy in July 2024.
