Mobile police have arrested a suspect wanted in a bank robbery that occurred on Friday last week.

Detectives with Mobile police and FBI agents responded to the PNC bank branch at 2901 Springhill Ave. on Friday morning after a man walked in and demanded cash from a teller.

Witnesses said that the man fled the area on foot.

Mobile police said that their investigation led them to Lionel Clinard Harris, 63, and were able to take him into custody on Tuesday.

Authorities have charged Harris with First Degree Robbery, Kidnapping, and several traffic infractions.

In March, police arrested Joseph Derrick Nelson, 67, of Moss Point, Mississippi after he robbed the Family Security Credit Union on Airport Boulevard.
Nelson was charged with First Degree Robbery.
