I Person Shot, 2 Homes Shot Into as Mobile Violence Continues

MOBILE, Ala. Police and firefighters responded to a Tuesday afternoon shooting on Yorkshire Lane just off Azalea Road.
Mobile police arrived at the scene and said that the man, who has not been named, appeared to have been shot in the leg.
Several onlookers stated that they heard the boom of the gunshot, and one lady stated that it was a drive-by shooting.
The man was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Mobile police said that this is an active investigation.
Police had previously reported two earlier shootings into occupied dwellings including in the 500 Block of Cherokee Street South of Government and at a house on Dogwood Road which is near Dauphin Island Parkway.
No one was injured in either shooting.
