Former Mobile City Councilman Running For Mayor

Another person has formally announced that they will be running for the city’s top office.
Former District 3 City Councilman, Jermaine Burrell said that he is filing to run for mayor in this year’s election.
Burrell served from 2009 – 2012, before resigning to take a job in Boston.
Already there is a growing list of people wanting to become the next Mobile Mayor including Burrell, former Police Chief Lawrence Battiste, County Commissioner Connie Hudson, former Judge Spiro Cheriogotis, former County Commissioner Steven Nodine, and State Representative Barbara Drummond.
Former Police Chief Paul Prine has stated that he too is thinking of running for the mayor’s office and will release a decision in the upcoming weeks.
