Foley Man Arrested For Sexual Deviancy With a Minor

This week, area law enforcement has once again made another arrest involving sexual deviancy and predatory sexual crimes.
This time, a 24-year-old Foley man has been arrested and is accused of soliciting obscene material from a 13-year-old child in the Silverhill community.

Robert Barnett III was arrested after the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on January 24th about Barnett soliciting a minor.
Investigators immediately opened an investigation and were able to substantiate the allegations.

Barnett admitted to sending obscene material to a minor and admitted to trying to have the minor meet him for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity, according to investigators.

Barnett is charged with transmitting obscene material to a child by computer and electronic solicitation of a child. He has a total bond of $35,000.
