Bay Minette Police Investigating Homicide

BAY MINETTE, Ala. According to the Bay Minette police, they are investigating a homicide that took place in their city on Friday, May 23rd, 2025.

On Monday morning police identified the victim of a fatal Friday night shooting as Dyrontae Condarrly Booker, 21, of Atmore.

Police also named a suspect in the case, Decareus Keywon Mallory Andrews, 28, of Bay Minette, as the suspect in the murder and they say should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

They say that at about 10:20 p.m. on Friday, a police officer heard gunshots and then found Booker lying in a yard in the 900 block of Daphne Road with multiple gunshot wounds as a person fled on foot from the area.

Police said the victim was transported to North Baldwin Infirmary, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities say the crime was not a random act and that the suspect and victim were known to each other.
