MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. A former sheriff’s deputy who was employed at one time by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of child pornography, according to his former employer, MCSO.
David Michael Frederickson, 69, was taken into custody on July 7th, and has been charged with five counts of unlawful possession of child pornography and five counts of unlawful dissemination of child pornography.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office reported that the Internet Crimes Against Children Team began an investigation involving Fredericson in May.
The sheriff’s office said that Frederickson was a deputy with the department from 1980 to 2003, when he retired.
“It is my duty to protect the citizens of Mobile County and especially our children,” said Sheriff Paul Burch. “I do not care who you are, if you are found guilty, then you will pay for your actions just like everyone else.”
