Boat Washes Ashore on Fort Morgan

FORT MORGAN Ala. Several people reported that a derelict boat had come ashore in Fort Morgan overnight Sunday or early Monday morning and several calls were made to 911.
On Monday morning. May 12th, 2025 at around 7:10 a.m., the Fort Morgan Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 6004 Seagrass Drive to investigate if the boat showed any signs of life on the vessel, or if it appeared that it had been involved in a wreck or just abandoned.
The Alabama Marine Police, a division of ALEA, was also notified.
Firefighters arrived on-scene and investigated but found that it didn’t appear that anyone was on board.
The boat was hauled away and stored according to the Fort Morgan Fire Department.
At this time, the Marine Police are investigating the incident.
