FOLEY Ala. On March 26, 2025, Deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office’s Uniformed Services Command responded to an RV community in Foley, Alabama to investigate a report of an adult male following a female juvenile into a public restroom.

The complainant that was made to law enforcement was not made by the child or a relative of a child, but a concerned neighbor.

Uniform deputies conducted on scene interviews and identified the male as registered sex offender JOHN ALLEN DAVIS (W/M 38 YOA Foley, Alabama) as the suspect.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigators and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Compliance personnel began an investigation into Davis. Through their investigation, it was determined that Davis failed to notify the sheriff’s office that he moved and failed to register his new address as required.
Offender Compliance personnel signed felony warrants for charges related to registration offenses. Davis was booked into the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Corrections Center on April 3, 2025.

Investigators with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Division continued with a follow-up investigation which involved evidence analysis and interviews conducted by the Alabama Department of Human Resources and the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center.

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, Investigators interviewed Davis while he was incarcerated at the Baldwin County Corrections Center from his previous SORNA violation. Following the interview, Davis was charged with Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree (Felony). Additional sex related offense charges are pending.

Davis’s previous offenses that required registration were from 2001 in Kentucky, for Sodomy 1st involving a Child less than 12 and from a 2007 arrest for Rape 2nd and Sodomy 2nd in Baldwin County Alabama.
