Senior Citizen Charged With Felony Assault

MOBILE Ala. A senior citizen is under arrest after being involved in an altercation where another person was injured and hospitalized.

On Monday, June 23, 2025, at approximately 1:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Riverside Food Mart, located at 1751 Riverside Drive in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with lacerations to his body from a physical altercation with another subject.

The Mobile Fire-Rescue was dispatched to the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital for minor non-life-threatening injuries.

Through further investigation, it was determined that the victim and subject had a verbal argument, which turned physical.

Mobile police arrested Alvin Carleton, 65, and he was transported to Metro Jail.

Carleton has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree which is a Class C Felony.
