ALEA Makes Drug and Gun Arrest

BALDWIN COUNTY Ala.

On Friday night while on patrol, an ALEA state trooper spotted a vehicle that committed a traffic offense and pulled it over.

During the trooper’s investigation, it was discovered that the driver identified as Paul Donnie Mitchell had an unlawful amount of marijuana.

Upon further investigation, Mitchell, a convicted violent felon, was found to have a firearm which is a felony charge because Mitchell is a convicted felon.

Mitchell was taken into custody and transported to the Baldwin County jail and has been charged with:

Possession of a Pistol by a Violent Felon      

Possession of Marijuana Second Degree
