ALEA Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Wreck On I-65

ALEA troopers and the Mobile police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred Saturday night along Interstate 65.
According to police, a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle and police shut down a stretch of the highway between Exit 3 and Airport Blvd during their investigation.
The driver of the vehicle who hit the pedestrian has not been identified but police did say that he stayed on-scene waiting for law enforcement to arrive.
At this time, no criminal charges have been filed but the accident remains under investigation.
