The Baldwin County 911 Center received a terrifying call Sunday morning, shortly before 10 a.m.
A person was calling for help because they found their four-year-old child unconscious for no apparent reason inside their home in a rural part of the county.
Emergency responders including the Elsanor Volunteer Fire Department, EMS and Baldwin County sheriff deputies all rushed to the home on Pinecrest Circle where they found the child still unconscious.
Emergency personnel immediately began treating the child and quickly realized that the child may have overdosed on narcotics.
The child was then given several doses of Naloxone and rushed to an area emergency room for further medical treatment.
The sheriff’s department is continuing their investigation.
